About me
Hi, I'm Amanda!
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I double majored in Biochemistry and Psychology at the University of California, San Diego.
Though I studied and gained a background in scientific research and health, I always held a spark for design. So, I decided to take a leap of faith to self-learn UX/Product Design upon graduating. And I've been hooked ever since.
A curious problem-solver, I aspire to empathize and create through human-centered research and design. My interests lie in making positive impacts within the intersections of various fields, such as science, health, technology, and design for civic and societal good. As an advocator, I also stand by and support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within my work and with the creative industry as a whole. Because being just a designer shouldn't be enough.
I was also competitively selected to be a Fellow in the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) for Summer 2020. You can read more about my experience as a MAIP Fellow in the first ever MAIP Virtual Engagement Program (VEP) here.
In my spare time...
